Hello there. First and foremost, I would like to thank you for visiting my blog.

I believe that the taste of a dish is subjective, as it is not only about its flavor, but it is also about enjoyment of the complete food experience:  from the search of ingredients, to cooking, to eating, and finally, to sharing with family and friends.

That is why I don’t believe in laboring in the kitchen for hours. Cooking should be fun and simple, and once you get the hang of it, you’ll be more intuitive of what to add and what not to add. Eventually, this intuition of yours is what permeates into your cooking, giving you your “cooking signature”, if you will.

I grew up in a Chinese household, and so naturally I delve back into my tradition for daily cooking inspirations. I am always hungry for more knowledge, especially in the kitchen. This blog is my way of sharing the recipes and kitchen tips with you. By sharing, I learn.

Having said that, I also love to try everything. I like to be a generalist more than a specialist. I have a soft spot for baked goods (who doesn’t?). So once in a while, you may find something in here about cakes and pastries, or if I feel like it, maybe something that is totally not in line with the so-called “niche” of this blog.

I would love to post as much as I can, but due to various time constraints, it is sometimes difficult. I find that posting once every 2 weeks or so is the perfect pace for me, where I can write without compromising quality of the content.

I hope you enjoy reading and sharing this blog. Thank you for visiting. You can contact me by filling out the form on the “Contacts” page, whether it is a question about cooking, the kitchen, or to say hi.
